SOME CALL IT
WE CALL IT
The Bass Tank was founded in 2018 by two experienced fisherman, John Soukup and Scott Palmer. It began when John had a Garmin unit installed on his boat and it was not installed correctly. Scott, who is an engineer by trade, ended up helping John by properly reinstalling the units on John’s boat. It became clear to them that many other anglers have had similar issues and they began to brainstorm how to become a part of the solution. As fisherman themselves, the ultimate satisfaction for The Bass Tank comes from assisting customers in catching more fish. This is accomplished by getting them the right equipment, with the correct installation, and teaching customers how to leverage their new toys to put more fish in the boat.
MEET THE TEAM
John has been fishing all of his life. He grew up on a koi farm, frequently fishing with his father who is an avid fisher. John is very passionate about the sport and feels its a part of who he is. He believes there is a feeling of tranquility that comes with being on the water that gives him a sense of home. John has accumulated approximately over 1,000 hours with his livescope alone, making him very knowledgable in the field. John lives, sleeps and breathes fishing and hopes to instill this in all of his customers.
Scott grew up on a fish farm but began fishing when his father would take him to fish in local ponds and creeks. It wasn’t until Scott was in high school when he was introduced to lake fishing by a close friend. Over the years he has logged countless hours using and troubleshooting electronics, making him a very knowledgeable fisherman. “What’s not to love about fishing? There’s nothing like the anticipation of the line tightening, setting the hook, then reeling in the perfect catch and holding your prize afterwards. Being on the water is very soothing to the soul, especially when the sun is rising and you get to watch the world wake up.” -Scott
“THE HYPE MAN”
Zeke has been passionate about fishing since he was a little boy fishing with his father. As he got older, he began enjoying fishing for crappie and has been fishing for them for the last 8 years, logging over 1,000 hours on the water using his Garmin products. Zeke enjoys taking customers out on the water and showing them how to catch fish like never before. He is hyped up about fishing and hopes to instill the same excitement into other fishermen.
AUSTIN “AJ” O’DELL
AJ began fishing tournaments at the age of six with his dad. At the age of thirteen, Austin joined the Stillwater Junior Bass Team where he competed for four years. He then began fishing the OBN as a non-boater fisherman where he made two regionals with the Oklahoma state team. In 2017, he began fishing as a boater and started competing in the FLW BFL okie division. Austin has spent the last 19 years putting forth every effort to become a professional angler and is now working with lifelong friends at The Bass Tank serving you to the best of his abilities. He loves God and tries to put him first in his life followed by his love for his family, country and his passion for fishing.
